Chalk, Cherries & Chairs

Chalk, Cherries & Chairs

Chalk, Cherries and Chairs was an ambitious landscape-scale scheme which ran from 2019 until November 2024.

The Scheme was created to celebrate the central Chilterns, revitalise local heritage, restore vital habitats, and deepen connections to the area to ensure that this unique landscape will be enjoyed by generations to come. Chalk, Cherries and Chairs was made possible by funding from National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to Lottery Players; as well as HS2 Community & Environment Fund and over 80 partners, groups, organisations, landowners and event attendees who have contributed match funding. It aimed to connect local people to the wildlife and cultural heritage of the Central Chilterns.
