Working together
We bring the different communities and peoples within the Chilterns National Landscape together to make big things happen for people and wildlife.
People naturally make communities that surround their locations, employment and interests. There are a whole host of people who live and work in, and visit and enjoy, the landscapes of the Chilterns . As such, there are myriad communities within the area, from those that exist within towns and villages, to those that are focused on age (such as young people) or hobby (such as walkers). There are also communities that extend far beyond the boundary, whether online or connected through a common interest, such as the conservation of our wildlife and heritage.
The Chilterns Conservation Board (CCB) reaches out to a wide range of people and communities to inspire them to help protect the precious and historic landscapes that they all sit within.
The chalk that runs beneath our feet is the common thread that binds us all together.
How we work together
Forging Partnerships
With our partners, stakeholders and friends, we find ways to protect, enhance and promote the natural beauty of the Chilterns.
Working across boundaries
We work to bring people together across boundaries – whether natural rivers or human-made councils – to manage and protect the landscape.
Inspiring young people
We help young people to understand and love the Chilterns, giving them the tools they need to face coming challenges.
Getting together
From forming walking groups to offering volunteering opportunities, we help people across communities to discover their common interests and activities.
